Almost all of our boards keep the natural or live edge of the trunks they were cut from. Natural bark is removed as it is unhygienic and invariably falls off in use. Instead ‘bark’ texture is carved on one edge which is a feature unique to our boards!
Serving boards with epoxy resin 'rivers' are a popular addition to our line up. We will have more river boards in stock soon or if you would like a particular colour, then simply call us on 07624 499304 or send your requirements using the Contact form.

Board Butter - food board treatment

Board butter is our hand-made food board conditioner used to keep your board in great condition and protect it from moisture and staining. It is made from food-safe mineral oil and natural beeswax mixed together. The oil soaks into the wood to protect it and the beeswax keeps water from penetrating the wood.
Unlike vegetable or seed oils our board butter will not turn rancid and ruin your board.
Very easy to use by simply wiping it all over the board, front back and sides then leave overnight and buff with a soft cloth. It can also used on all your wooden kitchen utensils and food bowls. For best results apply every 2 to 3 weeks.

An unusual board with a natural void formed by an old branch. This feature has been filled with clear epoxy resin to make a 'lake' feature. Satin OSMO polyx hard wax oil protects the wood and enhances the grain character and colours.
