We can work with you or your garden designer to create and install a unique modern art feature to complement your space.  A single sculpture can be used to create an impact or a series of sculptures of repeated form can add rhythm or a sense of order and structure.

Wood is a versatile medium or material to use for artistic sculpture:
  • Unlike bronze it grows on trees, which makes it readily available and sustainable.
  • Wood can be carved with many different tools, creating interesting textures.
  • The inherent beauty of wood can be celebrated or disguised completely to resemble stone or metal finishes. 
  • Other materials can be combined with wood to create surprise or provoke discussion.

Inspiration 

Inspiration can be found all around us - it just takes some imagination and free-thinking to see the possibilities;
  • a seashell on a beach,
  • seed pods and leaves or
  • abstract forms of everyday objects
they all possess forms that can be exaggerated, distorted or coloured to create artistic sculpture.

  • We can arrange a site visit to your garden which helps me to develop a sculpture that has a sense of place and is the right scale.
  • I will produce outline sketches for your appraisal or revision, together with a written quote. 
  • A scale model may be produced where I feel it would help your review of the proposed sculpture. 
  • If you don't like our proposal or revisions then we are happy to recommend other local artists to help you realise your vision.
