Dive into the mesmerising world of 'rock pool' sculpture with our stunning creations capturing the beauty of organic, natural forms. The hollow tree was rescued from an old log pile, carefully cleaned, sanded and polished. The natural voids and cracks were then filled with ocean blue resin.

Rescued from an old log pile, the old Alder tree lives on in this modern art sculpture. A cross-section of the tree reveals the natural shape and age of the tree. Cracks that formed during its life and decay have been highlighted with a beautiful deep metallic blue resin.


If you look closely you may see the face of an old lady with a knobbly nose and chin!


​Mounted on a charred and oiled, square oak plinth, Fissure#1 stands approximately 53cm tall and 22cm wide.
